Original era manufacture. A sound tan canvas covered circular canteen with a stenciled US on its cover. Original cork stopper with chain in the spout with two triangular suspension loops on the sides and canvas hanger. Seam stitching is sound. Stamped RIA 1903.Attached to the suspension loops is a period homemade canvas hanger displaying wear and use. Typical minor denting to the canteen body, still quite sound for display.
