Original era manufacture. A very nice condition sword dating to the mid to late 19th Century, Atlanta Georgia retailers name on the ricasso. The etched steel blade measures 28 inches in length, running straight and true. Etched panels on each side of the blade with original frosting remaining inside the panels. No corrosion issues to the surface, no nicks in the cutting edges. Ornate fire gilded guard and pommel, black leather wrapped grip bound with single strand twisted wire. Plated steel scabbard with brass fittings. Two spots of corrosion on one side of the scabbard above the drag.
