Original era manufacture. US Korean War WAC leather shoulder bag. Made of cafe' brown calf with an expandable gussett bottom. The leather shoulder strap was adjustable but could not be removed. The bag is lined in dark chocolate brown and has a center partition. The back section has a welted zippered compartment. The front of the partition has two horizontal cloth pockets. one above the other. The short flap fastened with an antique gold button snap embossed with the coat-of-arms of the Army.Unique to this shoulder bag is a small wallet (or passport pocket) whose flap extends to the outside of the purse giving the appearance of another pocket on the front of the purse. It also has an antique gold button snap. When undone, this wallet pulled from the purse and is held in place by a matching piece of chocolate-colored lining material and cannot be removed from the bag.This shoulder bag was carried by all ranks.
