Original era manufacture. A nice and salty, complete example as worn during the Korean War. Reflective edge, swivel bale, front seamed helmet (seam very difficult to see due to the thick paint), dark Marine Corps green overpaint with some shallow dents in the crown. T1 chinstrap connectors on the swivel bales, with the end of one of the chinstraps cut away. Inked, hand applied lettering, S-30 on the right side of the shell. Very nice and complete, WWII, Firestone mfg, plastic liner with light OD webbing throughout, leather chinstrap intact. The name R.J.Johnson is written on the sweatband. Reversible USMC helmet cover with the stitched diamond with stenciled EGA emblem on each side. Written on the brown side is the same name, R.J.Johnson. The helmet came to us green-side-out, showing scattered droplets of garage paint on the top of the helmet. Thecover shows additional staining and a few spots of wear from age and service use. Honest Korean WarGyrene helmet. Interestingly, our seller informed us that he purchased the helmet from a Vietnam War Vet, no surprise there, we've seen a number of WWII era helmets which saw service during the Vietnam War.
