Original era manufacture. US M1833 Dragoon sword made by Ames. Polished steel blade with a patina finish, measuring 34 inches in length. Some scattered nicks in the cutting edge, with evidence of an old service sharpening. Brass guard and pommel, leather wrapped grip without binding. The leather is missing the glossy surface, showing scattered patches of exposed wood beneath. Faint markings on the blade, no scabbard.
