Original era manufacture. Standard pattern 45-70 bayonet as used throughout the Indian Wars and Spanish American War. Mix ofblue and steel patina on the blade surface, with atouch of scatteredveryt light surface corrosion to the blade and shank.Dent free steel scabbard with light scattered surface corrosion on the blue finish, with a Militia applied old black repaint. Sound black leather frog, with a brass Massachusetts pivot disc.A clean bayonet displaying normal age and wear.
