Original era manufacture. A clean example of the issue 45-70 socket bayonet, and 1874 pattern scabbard with brass US disc. The blade measures 18 inches in length, displaying a satin blue finish to it's surface and the socket. Minor surface corrosion spotting, overall about 90% of the blue remains. Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the steel bodied scabbard. The leather frog is securely attached to the scabbard body, with the leather surface displaying surface wear and scattered finish loss. Nice old bayonet.
