Original era manufacture. A clean example, featuring a steel patina finished socket bayonet, showing scattered areas of light surface pitting. Tiny S stamp below the U.S. Blue and steel patina finish scabbard body, with an 1874 pattern belt loop, with a brass US disc. Possible issue for the Remington 1867 Navy Cadet rifle, as this socket will not fit either of my 1873 45-70 rifles.
