Original era manufacture. A decent effort using mostly original parts and including a rather scarce officers pattern plume. Blue wool covered cork bodied helmet with a bound leather edge. Two piece artillery pattern helmet plate, with a German silver 6 applied to the shield. Artillery side buttons, original base and socket holder. The cords are modern replacements, and during the restoration effort a simulated cloth inner lining was glued in place. The sweatband is intact, the helmet is not crushed or broken, and the edge binding is quite sound
