Original era manufacture. Bright polished steel blade with a 1896 date on the ricasso, no issues beyond some age spotting and staining to the blade surface.Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, with some light surface corrosion, overall the finish remains bright. Original finish to the wood grips which displaying typical marring and denting from service use, no cracks. Mix of steel patina and blue finish to the scabbard and hanger, no denting to mention. Cleaned surface corrosion on the hanger displaying some light pitting on the reverse.
