Original period manufacture. Bright finished, clean blade with a US proof and 1898 date on the ricasso. The blade is bright displaying a period sharpening attempt along its length. Dark wood original grips with light marring and denting from age and use. Bright finish to the guard and pommel, intact and operable lock button. Scattered minor staining on the surface. Very clean blue finished steel 1st pattern scabbard, the suspension loop pivots 360 degrees.
