Original era manufacture. Bright polished steel blade with a 1899 date on the  ricasso, no issues beyond some age spotting and staining to the blade surface, and one very small nick in the edge.  Bright steel finish to the guard and pommel, original wood grips which display typical light marring and denting from service use, no cracks or chips. Mix of steel patina and blue finish to the scabbard and hanger, two very small dents in the scabbard near the throat.
