Original period manufacture. Bright finished blade pommel and guard with a US proof and 1899 date on the ricasso. The blade is bright with some scattered staining along its surface with an unsharpened edge, no corrosion issue.Original finish wooden grips showing scratching and light denting to the surface from service use, no cracks or chips.Dent free blue steel scabbard with a light peppering of surface corrosion, no pitting. All in all a very presentable Krag bayonet.
