Original era manufacture. Bright polished steel blade with a 1900 date on the  ricasso, no issues beyond some age spotting and staining to the blade surface. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, lacquer finish to the wood grips which displaying typical light marring and denting from service use, no cracks or chips. Most of the original blue finish remains on the scabbard, with no dents. Some evidence of scattered surface corrosion, with a patch of deep corrosion on the reverse of the belt hanger.All in all a very clean 119 year old US issue bayonet.
