Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade with a 1900 date on the ricasso, no issues beyond an old attempt at bluing the blade.  Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, original finish to the wood grips which displaying typical light marring and denting from service use, no cracks or chips. Steel patina finish remains on the scabbard, with a few small, shallow dents. Some small evidence of scattered surface corrosion.All in all a very clean 119 year old US issue bayonet.
