Original era manufacture. A nice example recently purchased in an old Arizona based collection. Bright steel blade with a first pattern blue steel scabbard. The blade is very clean and shows a little scattered spotting and graying but has not been sharpened and the markings remain quite clear. Dent free blue steel scabbard with some light scattered surface corrosion. Decent, dark wood grips showing typical marring and bumping to the surface from use. Bright steel patina to the pommel and guard. Nice wartime date of 1898 on the ricasso.
