Original period manufacture. Ridged body, dark blue wool top with a black mohair band. Gold wire officers eagle directly embroidered into the body of the hat and band. Gold twisted wire chincord secured by two brass eagle buttons. Bound edge, black painted visor. The lining is of black silk with a silver makers logo at center, sound, brown leather sweatband, the threads of which are tearing away on the right rear side. No mothing, or stains, normal age and wear.
