Original era manufacture. A very solid example of the enlisted service hat, pattern of 1902. Dark blue wool top and band, with a black cotton lining. The thin leather sweatband is securing sewn to the body, with a size tag of 6 1/2 at the seam. There are faint contract marks stamped into the underside, Horstmann is easily discernible.Black patent leather covered visor with a bound edge, matching material adjustable chinstrap with brass buckle. Cuff size, eagle decorated general service buttons, one on each side, and a Company A, 10th Infantry Regiment hat device completes the hat, zero moth issues.
