Original era manufacture. US M1902 Army Officer's Dress Coat, Captain, Infantry, John G. Haas Tailor. Dark blue double breasted wool frock coat with a full complement of rimless eagle buttons throughout, except for the strap buttons which are rimmed. Rank trim on the cuffs indicating the rank of Captain, with direct embroidered crossed rifles with two numbers above. One number is a 1, the other has been removed but to me appears to have been a three. Elaborate gold wire shoulder knots on each side with white wool underlay, no rank insignia. Full black silk body lining with white cotton lined sleeves. For some reason the tailor tag which usually has the owners name on it was cut out of the inside pocket. No moth issues to report, size about a 36-38, overall a very clean, smart looking uniform.
