Original era manufacture. A very sound example of an early 20th century, issue quality hat, as worn by a member of F Troop, 11th US Cavalry Regiment. There is a B.Y. Pipey contract stamp inside the sweatband, the golden yellow and dark blue band, fits the hat properly and snugly, not a recent addition. Patent leather chinstrap which is secured with two brass rimless eagle enlisted side buttons. No moth issues to report, very bright and clean looking, not crushed or damaged in any way. Size 7 1/8.
