Original period manufacture. A very clean example with a blue and steel patina finish to the blade, clear RIA 1917 markings on the ricasso. No sharpening, or corrosion issues to the blade, just surface wear to the edges, the pommel and guard display similar finish with sound, smooth finish original walnut grips.Seamless, tan canvas covered, wood bodied scabbard with its leather tip present. Overall the scabbard has a very clean look to it, two small snags in the fabric, both on the right edge, more felt than seen.A very nice looking bayonet, and a plus that it is R.I.A. marked.
