Original era manufacture. Bright finished blade with a small strip of blue at its base. 1906 blade date with SA proof for Springfield Arsenal, first year production. Smooth finish to the walnut grips. The blade is bright but has some scattered spots of corrosion on each side. As with all bayonets of this pattern, the guard is secured to the blade with two steel pins. The uppermost pin appears to be broken as it pivots on the bottom one. Still sound enough to place on your rifle.
