Original period manufacture. A very clean example with a blue & steel patina finish to the blade, clear SA 1918 markings on the ricasso. No sharpening, or corrosion issues to the blade, just a slight rounding of the point. The pommel and guard display similar steel patina finish, with sound, rough hewn original walnut grips.Tan canvas covered, wood bodied scabbard with its leather tip present. Side seam pattern canvas cover, often attributed to Marine Corps use, with a metal drain-hole grommet on the reverse side of the scabbard tip.
