Original period manufacture. A very clean example with a steel patina finish to the blade, clear SA 1906 markings on the ricasso. No sharpening, or corrosion issues to the blade, just surface wear to the edges, and a slight copper color from old cosmoline. The pommel and guard display similar steel patina  finish with sound, rough hewn original walnut grips.Seamless, tan canvas covered, wood bodied scabbard with its leather tip present. Overall the scabbard has a very clean look to it, just light soiling frage and service use.A sound example bayonet with a first year production blade.
