Original era manufacture. Early pre-war production bayonet with a pleasing steel patina to the blade finish. Light scattered staining from age and use, but no corrosion or pitting. Sound walnut grips in original finish showing typical age and wear. There are a few tiny nicks and bumps in the blade edge but it has not been sharpened or ground on. No scabbard.
