Original era manufacture. These are so fun, always happy when we can pick one up as not too many of these are around in any sort of collectible condition. This is the Army issue saddle blanket for all mounted troops, pattern of 1908 and used up until the end of the mounted US Cavalry and other mounted troops in WWII. Olive brown wool blanket with two contrasting wool stripes at each end. Embroidered at center is a black stitched U.S. above the Ordnance Bomb. The blanket shows scattered snagging and small holes, with the largest hole showing a stitched repair. No major stains or dirt, a little rumpled from storage but should display quite well.
