Original era manufacture. A near new condition example attributed to the firm of Eickhorn. Matt finish blade with a white stenciled GERMANY on the ricasso. Very little wear to the surface finish, however there is speckling and pitting to the flat metal portion of the blade and spine, perhaps part of the manufacturing process. Factory sharpened edge, with a matt black grip. US M8A1 marked scabbard, MADE IN GERMANY. This fits my M1 carbine.
