Original era manufacture. Large size copper powder flask which is maker marked BATTY and dated 1849 on the top. Two triangular shaped carrying rings, intact seams and no denting to the body. The closure spring no longer operates nor does the adjustable pour spout. Might need just a bit of a cleaning. Likely the most handsome of all of the flasks used by the US Army.
