Original era manufacture. There were two makers of this pattern flask, N.P.Ames, and Batty. ThisBatty produced Peace Flask, displays the makers name and a solid Mexican War date of 1847 on the base of the spout.The adjusting pour spout operates properly, the body of the flask is free of dents and the seams are tight. Pleasing copper and brass patina finish.
