Original era manufacture. A well made miniature sword letter opener, made in the form of a US M1860 officers sword. This likely predates WWI, as this sword pattern became obsolete after 1902. Nickel finished scabbard with three suspension rings, cast brass grip and guard with traces of the black paint remaining on the grip. Overall measurement is 9.5 inhes, GERMANY stamped into the blade.
