Original period manufacture. Serial number 126721, Buffington pattern rear adjustable sight with a three piece cleaning rod in the butt trap. Even patina finish to all of the metal components, no real corrosion issues, just what you would normally expect to see on one of these old carbines. Three position lock, the trapdoor receiver works as it should, decent rifling remaining in the bore. At the time of our purchase the wrist of the stock was cracked in several places, a friend of ours who is handy in these things, opened up the cracks inserted some liquid adhesive and clamped the wrist to add pressure to the process. You have to look to see the crack lines but they are there. I would not recommend the carbine to be fired live.
