Original era manufacture. US Navy blue gabardine uniform coat in the rank of Rear Admiral, Identified to John R. Wadleigh USN, a career US Navy Officer, Annapolis Graduate, class of 1937. The uniform was purchased in 1968 from the Naval Uniform Shop, Brooklyn New York. Eleven place ribbon bar is sewn to the coat as per the instructions on the tailor shop tag. To include the Silver Star and three awards of the Legion of Merit. Admiral Wadleigh served a long and distinguished career in the United States Navy, and was a survivor of the USS Yorktown when sunk during the Battle of Midway June 4-7 1942. With copied research.
