Original period manufacture. Three piece badge on a red-white-blue silk ribbon. Top bar reads Co.K 35th Mass Vols., middle bar 2nd Brigade, bottom 9th Corps Shield. The 35th Massachusetts Infantry served with the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division IX Corps Army of the Potomac until April 1863. Sent West until April 1864, when they returned once more to the Army of the Potomac, but this time 1st Brigade, 1st Division, IX Corps to war's end. When purchased by SMA the pieces were not ribbon mounted, I had a length of vintage silk ribbon at hand so placed the three pieces on it.
