Original era manufacture. Worsted wool flag of machine sewn construction measuring 46 x 81 inches. The stars and stripes are individually sewn, white canvas hoist with two brass grommets, each of these are patent dated Aug. 26 1884. There are some scattered areas of mothing, nothing severe, with an additional area of fraying and tearing on the upper edge which measures 15 inches in length. In spite of the age issues, this remains a handsome old flag, which would be a wonderful centerpiece of a display.
