Original era manufacture. US Post Civil War, 1935 Grand Rapids, MI National Encampment medal. An elaborate, four-piece badge with each segment linked by a small chain. Missing it's golden yellow backing ribbon, otherwise complete. In 1935 there were only 6, 244 members remaining in the G.A.R., in 41 Departments.
