Original period manufacture. Nickel silver ladder badge as worn by a member of Company E 30th Iowa Volunteer Infantry. The 30th Iowa was a 3 year regiment, which served in the Western Theater of the Civil War. The suffered the loss of 317 of their members, and served at Arkansas Post, Vicksburg, Missionary Ridge, Kennesaw Mountain,  Atlanta, Bentonville and others. Normal age and wear. Part of our recent Civil War collection purchase, which was assembled over the past 70 years by a local WWII veteran.
