Original era manufacture. Ten caret gold medal, with enameled decoration on each side, complete with its original ribbon. Numbered on the reverse of the connecting band, 18745.The MilitaryOrder, of the Loyal Legion of the United States, was a fraternal organization established in 1865 upon the death of President Lincoln, being comprised of officers of the Union Army andNavy. The membership medal has a red central stripe, while medals worn by descendants had a blue central stripe. This was changed in the 20th century, now all ribbons have a red stripe. The organization still exists.
