In the book The Southern Cross of Honor; Historical Notes and Trial List of Varieties, by Peter Bertram; this example is identified as a SCH:3b, on page 11.Instituted by the United Daughters of the Confederacy to be awardedto former Confederate soldiers for their service during the Civil War. Sometimes these are found named on the suspension bar, this example is not.Sound original condition and complete.
