Original era manufacture. Assembled from parts in the 1980's purportedly as experimental US military bayonets. While certainly an imposing looking bayonet, they are complete fantasy items. Or as Uncle Karl used to say, "a Fig Newton of the imagination!"Clean finish to the blade, no sharpening to the cutting edge, with an M7 guard, black plastic grips and locking pommel mechanism.This bayonet came with the M9 scabbard at the time of our purchase, with the scabbard showing more wear and use than the bayonet.
