Original era manufacture. A likely German made piece of insignia, or perhaps a sweetheart badge, for those troops serving with the US Third Army on the Rhine in 1919.The badge measures 72 mm in width with a pinback reverse. At center, is a nicely enameled Third Army insignia. Engraved on the surface of the bar; ARMY OF OCCUPATION.
