Original era manufacture. Later production M1905 bayonet, Springfield Arsenal marked and dated 1920. One would think the Government would have had plenty of bayonets left over from WWI. Evidently not as examples dated as late as 1922 are known. This one has a very nice blue finish blade with the bottom inch parkerized. The lock mechanisim works properly and the rough hewn wood grips are sound. The scabbard is of canvas and leather with a side seam. The tip shows wear and fraying but the side stitching is tight and sound. Old Hollywood property stamp H4H below the belt hook.
