Original era manufacture. Commercially made 22.5 inch swagger stick with US eagle on the top of the cap and an engraved design of crossed cannon, 10 above and A below. I remember as a kid in the late 1950's our scout troop (24 Doylestown) traveled to Fort Dix New Jersey for an outing and the young 2nd Lieutenant who was assigned to us carried one. He told us that the commanding officer ordered every officer to carry one to keep his hands out of their pockets. "Rata-Tat-Tat, Just Like John Wayne", he also repeatedly told us. Weird what we remember from our childhood.
