Design approved January 1943, initially formed part of the 82nd Airborne Division during the Normandy campaign, then assigned to the newly formed 17th Airborne Division, and participated in Operation Varsity in 1945. D-22 Denmark marked, clutch post reverse, with brass postwar clutch attachments.
