Original era publication. May 1947 edition of the Arizona Highways magazine, the cover showing the tail portion of a B-29, with a modern (then) jet fighter below. There is a decided aviation theme to this issue, with a very interesting article on the Kingman Arizona aircraft storage depot, where thousands of USAAF bombers and fighters were stored prior to being scrapped. If you were an American citizen, you could purchase a B-17 or B-24 bomber for a little over $13,000, a P-40 fighter for a mere $1,250 bucks. Normal handling and wear.
