Original era manufacture. Aircraft aluminum ashtray with a brass plaque in the shape of the USAAF/USAF aircraft insignia and set with a pair full size USAF Pilot wings.Giebelstadt was a former Luftwaffe airbase from which Me-262's and Me-163's flew in defense of the Reich in 1944-45.Measures roughly 5 x 7 inches, nicely made.
