Original era manufacture. Post WWII production, Cold War Era Kabar style utility knife, marked U.S. & MSI. on the ricasso, Manufacturing Specialties Inc, of Allen Texas. Some online sources state that the production was quite low, around 5,500, with a delivery date of 1983.The knife and scabbard are in near new condition, displaying only light handling wear.
