US Post WWII M3/M4 Bayonet Hybrid Fighting Knife

Original period manufacture. Based on a combination of features of the M3 knife and M4 carbine bayonet, likely produced post WWII to be sold commercially. M3 style stacked leather grip with a steel pommel, M3 unmarked blade with a carbine crossguard with muzzle ring. The makers name on the crossguard has been carefully removed. Parkerized finish to the blade surface showing wear to near the tip. Plain leather scabbard with a riveted and sewn body with a pommel strap. I think I remember reading that these may have been assembled in Japan from parts around the time of the Vietnam War. Sound overall, normal age and wear.
