Original era manufacture. US Identified 1852 Navy Officer sword with sheath and knot. NS Meyer, Conqueror marked. A nice quality sword named on the blade to  CDR Frank W. Olson 1941-63. Doing a quick check on Ancestry I found a Lt.JG transferred off of the USS Hatfield in January 1944, with other listings as well. Beautiful triple etched blade measuring 33 inches in length, fire gilt finish to the guard and pommel cap with a fish skin covered grip bound with triple strand wire. Original sword knot carefully wrapped around the bow of the guard. Black leather scabbard in good repair, with fire gilt fittings.
