Original era manufacture. White topped visor hat for a senior grade US Navy officer. Gold wire embroidery on the wool colored visor, and a hand embroidered Navy emblem on the cap band.The white cloth cover is removable for cleaning, the sweat shield displays the name and emblem of the firm of Hilborn-Hamburger of New York.The hat is in sound condition, the sweatband is securely sewn to the body of the hat, and it is in a fairly large size, about a 7 1/4.
