Original era manufacture. An excellent quality German made sword. 32 inch chromed steel blade with etched panels on each side. Mix of patina and gilded finish to the brass guard and pommel, white fishskin grip, bound with triple strand wire.Original gold brocade and bullion sword knot wrapped around the guard. Black leather covered steel scabbard with bright gilt finish to the brass fittings. The scabbard leather has a protective coating of clear lacquer, with a thin black cloth glued over the seam below the second fitting. A clever display repair for when leather coverings dry out and the seam separates.
